KM Professional Development Program Overview

This Knowledge Management (KM) - Knowledge Environment Engineering (KEE) Professional Development Training Program is the largest knowledge-based professional program in the world designed to provide education and support to serious knowledge-based practitioners.  More than 3500 professionals have enrolled in the program and workshops, representing organizations, governments and individuals worldwide.

This program prepares you for Level 1 CKM®/CKEE™ certification awarded by the eKnowledgeCenter (eKC).

The program covers the management of human knowledge systems in business and government settings.  There are two ways to receive training: e-Learning with a four day face-to-face workshop or eLearning Only.  The e-Learning Only option includes an online workshop that simulates the training provided in the face-to-face workshop.  The face-to-face and online workshops are designed to train knowledge professionals on how to plan, analyze, design, manage, and monitor a knowledge-based initiative, based on two sample types of organizations: Retail and Consulting.  The goal is to give "hands-on" exposure that enables participants to add value to their companies and clients the day they return to work.  See Face-to-Face and Online Workshop Breakdown for class details. The training is a combination of self-paced e-Learning courses and either a four-day face-to-face workshop or an intense online workshop.

ASSOCIATE (LEVEL 1) CERTIFIED KNOWLEDGE MANAGER (CKM)™ (CKM®)- CERTIFIED KNOWLEDGE ENVIRONMENT ENGINEER™ (CKEE™)

The combined Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM)(CKM®)  & Knowledge Environment Engineer (CKEE™) program focuses on knowledge and innovation economics from the point of view of a manager or executive. The program is designed to equip a knowledge professional to assume the role of a senior manager, such as a Chief Knowledge Officer or Chief Innovation Officer, or to communicate with management regarding the strategic value of knowledge and to develop business plans and financial reports justifying the investment.  The training focuses on the strategic planning, financial planning, and analysis side of knowledge-based professions.

The program also focuses on designing successful knowledge processing environments. The majority of program time is spent on how to analyze, model, design, measure, and transform any environment to help an organization meet its goals faster and more effectively from a knowledge and innovation management perspective.

The Knowledge Management Certification Program was developed by the eKnowledgeCenter and is managed in compliance to certification standards of the Knowledge Management Certification Board (KMCB)®.
